Have you ever
"heard" an earthquake? When it starts to shake the floor or the chair
you are sitting and the desk in front of you, there is a moment of
consternation. You look out to search for the cause of all this
"topple". When you see the furniture dangling and crockery clink and
fall we realize that the earth trembles. The first impulse is to run out! But
the regulations require to find a refuge or a safe place at home! Under a table, under a supporting beam, on the stairs. And everything continues to shake. With
your heart in your throat and feel completely disoriented you begin to hear the shouts of terror
coming from the neighboring houses, from those on the street who see to fall next the pieces of roof or walls or windows. When you finally get to go out,
also to share the panic that has paralyzed us now, we meet the shoes just leave during the race, men and women dressed in pajamas or underwear have left their
homes, children crying in the arms of mothers or relatives who do not shout because the children shout stronger. And then you look to the sky ... and the
sky- line of your city has changed whole: the dear bell in half, the highest
buildings without facades, churches without roofs of millennia! You look inside
and you don’t find your identity!
