When the sun is shining, the air is warm, the fields are green, the trees loaded withflowers, the flowers coloring the flower beds with all the colors, because thinking about problems?

Here in Portugal is very hot, spring time...
We are on vacation, what is very good because we can relax a bit. Friday I went to the cinema so I have a feeling that these days are going to be pretty good.

It's very hot in Amiens It's the spring

A gunman on a motorbike shot dead three children and a teacher at a Jewish school in Toulouse (France) on Monday, just few days after killing three soldiers nearby, in Montauban. 

It's a very shocking news; Everyone here is very moved by this incident.

Presidential Elections are in one month and the main candidates have canceled their campaigns for a few days because of this event.

Hi everybody!

 Here in Portugal it's very common to celebrate Easter. I started to wonder what were the religions and beliefs of the people in Comenius project.

We haven’t decided if Lis has or not a religion so I created a form with some questions about this topic. I would be very grateful if many people answered it, honestly and only once. I promise to publish the results as soon as possible but it depends of the people who participate.

Hey,

This week is really sad for the Greek culture because one of the most important traditional singers and researchers, Domna Samiou, died. She was born at 12 October 1928 and she died at 10 March 2012. She was a Greek singer who contributed in the expansion of traditional songs. Until her death she kept on researching and recording old songs. She visited villages through out the country to interview older people and record material. By this, she continued the history of Greek music until today. We feel very sad because we lost a person who was teaching all the greek people the treasures of greek tradional songs… But the good thing is that we have her recordings and here in Plomari we have the opportunity to learn and dance her songs.!

Another thing that I want to mention is that the most famous singer in Greece and abroad, George Dalaras, is giving concerts in poor neighborhoods with free entrance to encourage people in this difficult situation that we face. The thing is that he made some statements saying that economical measures are necessary and that Greece must obey to Germany and EU. As a result in his concerts furious people react and they throw on him chairs, yogurts and several objects but he continues singing. Some people agree with these reactions because he is always saying that the Greek people are unable to control their country and in the same time he is singing to support them but others feel that it’s a very bad thing to attack violently to an artist because you disagree with his opinion.

The long and cold winter in my country has not finished yet. Not only about weather conditions but also about the financial, political and social crisis. Greek people are becoming more and more inventive in order to deal with these really difficult days that we live in.

Some of our fellow citizens took a very important, useful and active decision: to call farmers to sell their agricultural products directly to the consumers and not via traders. I find this movement efficient, hopeful and beneficial for the Greek people. Despite the difficulties we keep on showing solidarity and support to each other.

On the other hand some of us try and find extreme solutions in order to make a living. So we can notice a rapidly increase of criminality and that can be easily explained: unemployed and desperate people steal in order to survive.

Hello everybody!

The first days of March were a bit cold and with a lot of rain. But in Lesvos there is a motto that if the first three days of this month have bad weather, then all the other days of March will be sunny!!!

But yesterday in a region of Greece called “Nomos Ilias” it had a hailstorm and the hail had the size of a nut! Now about Lesvos..

The last week a guy 23 years old died from drugs overdose and we all were very sad to hear it because he was well-known and everybody loved him. Also a large amount of heroin was seized by the Port Police of Mytilene and for time being two persons were arrested. Two days ago in Lesvos , two churches were robbed and they took the money from candles!
